The Cultural Security Framework (CSF) for Kimberley Mental Health, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, and Drug and Alcohol Services was developed by the Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Sub-committee of the KAHPF. The CSF includes a guide and self-assessment tool to support and guide organisations to improve cultural security, both for their employees and their clients/patients.

Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Service Map

The Kimberley Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Service Map assists Kimberley Service Providers with referring people to the right place, no matter where someone in crisis arrives.

This resource was developed through the No Wrong Door initiative of the Kimberley Aboriginal Suicide Prevention Trial. It was supported by local partnerships between members of the Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Sub-committee of the KAHPF, and with thanks to the organisations who provided their service details.

In consultation with a number of key stakeholders, Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services and WA Country Health Service developed a standard drug list for use in the Kimberley; the first edition of the Kimberley Standard Drug List (KSDL) was published in November 2005.

Kimberley Standard Dressing List

The KSDrL provides a recommended dressing list for the Kimberley region. It is intended for use in all remote primary health care clinics and health services. The KSDrL includes a range of dressings appropriate for use on different wounds specific to the needs of patients presenting for wound care in the Kimberley region.

Kimberley Mum’s Mood Scale

The Kimberley Mum’s Mood Scale (KMMS) was co-designed by Aboriginal women and healthcare professionals to improve culturally appropriate screening practices for perinatal depression and anxiety.
